Pricing  /  What it replaces

We tried to price the stack you already run.

Six of the eight vendors would not tell us. So instead of a total we made up, here is every line we checked, what it actually costs, and which ones you have to ring a salesperson to find out.

$6 USD per managed asset, every module, AI never metered. One number, on the page, with no volume band behind it. You can work out your bill without calling anyone — which is the part of this page that nobody else in the market can copy.

What the eight lines actually cost

Every figure carries its basis in the cell. A price we could not verify is not on this table, and a price that is quoted rather than published says so — because a competitor price that has gone stale is worse than no price at all.

Three of these vendors do not price per endpoint at all. The PSAs bill per technician, Blumira bills per employee, and the documentation tools bill per user. Turning those into a per-endpoint figure needs an assumption, and ours is roughly forty endpoints per technician — stated here rather than buried, because without it the arithmetic is not something you can check. Your ratio is not ours. Run it at yours and the whole column moves.

RMM
NinjaOne, Datto RMM
$1.50 – $6.00NOT PUBLISHED

NinjaOne’s price list says “contact sales”. The range is what MSPs report paying.

RMM, the other model
Atera
per technicianWRONG UNIT

Unlimited endpoints per seat. At 800 endpoints on two technicians it works out near $0.40 an endpoint, so it cannot sit in a per-endpoint column at all.

Service desk / PSA
ConnectWise, Autotask, HaloPSA
quotedNOT PUBLISHED

Per technician, and none of the three publishes a rate.

Endpoint security
Huntress Managed EDR
$8.99PUBLISHED LIST

Published at the 50–99 unit tier, twelve-month term. MSPs aggregating volume report $1.95 to $3.50 wholesale — which is a different number, and we are not going to print it as though it were list.

SIEM and log retention
Blumira
$12 – $21PER EMPLOYEE

Detect $12, Respond $16, Automate $21, per employee per month. Not per endpoint, and not comparable without knowing your ratio.

Patch and vulnerability
Action1
free under 200PUBLISHED

Genuinely free below 200 endpoints, which makes the line zero for a large number of practices.

Work it out for your own estate

Ours is arithmetic. Theirs is a phone call.

Open a band to see both sides. Our figure is exact. Theirs is a range, and it is a range only because we refuse to invent the middle of it.

250 ASSETS$1,500 a month, from us

$1,500 a month. That figure is exact, because $6 USD an asset is on the pricing page and there is no volume band, no tier and no negotiation behind it.

The two stack lines we could actually verify — RMM and endpoint security — come to $862 to $3,748 a month for the same estate, before service desk, SIEM, backup or documentation. We cannot close that range, because six of the eight vendors will not publish a number.

680 ASSETS$4,080 a month, from us

$4,080 a month. That figure is exact, because $6 USD an asset is on the pricing page and there is no volume band, no tier and no negotiation behind it.

The two stack lines we could actually verify — RMM and endpoint security — come to $2,346 to $10,193 a month for the same estate, before service desk, SIEM, backup or documentation. We cannot close that range, because six of the eight vendors will not publish a number.

1,800 ASSETS$10,800 a month, from us

$10,800 a month. That figure is exact, because $6 USD an asset is on the pricing page and there is no volume band, no tier and no negotiation behind it.

The two stack lines we could actually verify — RMM and endpoint security — come to $6,210 to $26,982 a month for the same estate, before service desk, SIEM, backup or documentation. We cannot close that range, because six of the eight vendors will not publish a number.

3,900 ASSETS$23,400 a month, from us

$23,400 a month. That figure is exact, because $6 USD an asset is on the pricing page and there is no volume band, no tier and no negotiation behind it.

The two stack lines we could actually verify — RMM and endpoint security — come to $13,455 to $58,461 a month for the same estate, before service desk, SIEM, backup or documentation. We cannot close that range, because six of the eight vendors will not publish a number.

The low end assumes you negotiated well on both lines. The high end is published list on one and the top of the reported range on the other. Your real number is somewhere inside, and the only way to find it is to ask them — which is the point.

And if you are not buying all of that

Most practices run three of these lines, not eight.

An RMM, something for security, and a PSA. If that is you, we are not automatically cheaper, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The question is not whether $6 beats three lines you already pay for. It is whether the five you are not buying — SIEM, documentation that maintains itself, patch verification, database monitoring and an agent that works the overnight shift — are worth the difference.

For a lot of practices the honest answer is no, today. Run it read-only for thirty days and let your own estate answer it.
