Terms of sale and licence
The agreement between you and Dream-Genie AI when you buy and run the platform. Written to be read, not to be survived.
What you are buying
A non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and run the platform on hardware you control, for the number of managed assets your subscription covers, for as long as your subscription is current.
You own your data. We do not, at any point, and nothing in this agreement gives us a claim to it.
What you may do
- Run it on any hardware you control, in any number of installations
- Use it to deliver services to your own clients commercially
- Modify configuration, write your own runbooks, build your own connectors
- Keep running the version you paid for after a subscription ends, subject to the licence terms below
What you may not do
- Redistribute, resell or sublicense the software itself
- Remove or circumvent the licensing mechanism
- Reverse-engineer to produce a competing product
- Exceed your licensed asset count without updating your subscription
Licence expiry
A licence carries a validity window. At expiry the platform freezes rather than deletes — your data stays on your hardware and remains readable.
Monitoring is not withheld for a commercial dispute. Administrative functions degrade at expiry. Detection, alerting and collection do not, because your clients are not party to a disagreement between you and us.
Our obligations
- The software does what the documentation says it does
- Security issues are fixed and disclosed
- Release notes name what is known not to work
- Your data is not accessed, transmitted or analysed — we receive ten fields and a signature, published in full on the security page
What we do not warrant
That the software is free of defects, or that it will detect every problem in your estate. It will not, and no monitoring product does.
Where the platform cannot establish something it says so. That is a design commitment and it is the closest thing to a warranty we can honestly offer: it will not tell you something is fine when it does not know.
Liability
Our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Termination
You may cancel at any time from your account. We may terminate for non-payment after notice, or for breach of the restrictions above.
On termination you stop using the software. Your data remains yours and on your hardware, and there is nothing for us to return because we never held it.
Governing law
The laws of the Northwest Territories and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Consumer protection rights in your own jurisdiction are unaffected.
Changes
We may change these terms for future subscription periods with notice. Changes do not apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.
